Actually, 70% of employers have said they have turned down applicants because of their social media accounts. Unless you’re keeping it private, it’s important to monitor exactly what it is you’re posting – and we mean this intensely. In the job searching process, it’s all about appearing, and staying mature and professional (and, well, that goes for your career in general). For instance, if your email is email@example.com, there’s at least a 76% chance that you won’t even make it to an interview. Fact.
