Military Veterans Make Amazing Employees – Here’s Why…

As a staffing company for many government positions, we have had and continue to have the privilege of working alongside veterans, and alongside our partner, Hire Our Heroes. Transitioning from a combat lifestyle back into the civilian world can be stressful and confusing, but there’s one thing that we know for sure and it’s that veterans make for great employees! Here are the top 4 reasons you should hire a vet.

  1. They are cultured. In the military, service members get to travel the world and even have to adapt to other cultures.
  2.  They work hard and give their all. From the moment they sign the registration papers, they are taking orders and being put to the test. Perseverance is an understatement when it comes to understanding a veterans initiative.
  3. They are loyal. A Veterans previous job in active duty was to put their lives on the line – not only for their country but for their brothers in arms. They know what it means to be ‘do or die’ for a cause, and while things may not get that extreme in the office, you can count on them to always have your back and be exceptional team players.
  4. They are decisive. When it comes to making decisions, you can always count on a veteran do it quickly and effectively. There’s no time in the field to ‘sit on it’ for awhile – situations need analyzed and executed promptly.

Hiring a veteran isn’t a matter of giving back, it’s a matter of making a smart business decision out of self-interest and growth. Good news is, there’s plenty of them to hire!
